Characteristics of sunflower meal The cake obtained after processing sunflower seeds contains a large amount of fats, phospholipids, vitamins, proteins. The nutritional value of the proteins contained in the feed is comparable to that of animal proteins. The resulting products retain amino acids, minerals and fiber, which have a beneficial effect on the development and growth of animals and poultry. The content of nutrients in the cake depends on the feedstock, but its approximate composition is as follows: proteins - not less than 32%; fats - 8-15%; minerals - 5-18%; vitamins of group B (riboflavin, thiamine), A, E; pantothenic acid; carotene; a nicotinic acid.
