Silicone Carbide heaters (SiC) is a non metal electric heating element made from SiC and its main raw materials. It has some specific properties such as low expansion coefficient, little deformation, stable chemical property, long service life and is very easy to install. SiC elements are used in applications ranging from below 600°C up to 1600°C in both air and controlled atmospheres and are commonly used in furnaces. Since there are no standard furnaces, SiC heaters come in a variety of shapes and sizes and can be both used vertically or horizontally. The surface load of SiC heaters is in direct relation with the life of SiC heaters and therefore it is necessary to control the surface load within the range when heating.
