MUCUNA BRACTEATA
Mucuna (as is known) is a leguminous creeper, which is easy to establish. They are most desirable species of plant that can be used as ground cover in oil palm and rubber plantation, because they have ability to fix atmospheric nitrogen, which can later be used by the immature oil palm and rubber plants. Legume covers keep down the soil temperature during summer. They suppress the weeds and help in proper utilization of fertilizers applied to the rubber plants.
