Shipyard gantry crane is one kind of gantry cranes, which is used to assemble large structures and the installation of electromechanical equipment during shipbuilding. This equipment is usually equipped with two crane trolleys: one with two main hooks, which runs on the track of the flange on the bridge; the other one has a main hook and a secondary hook, which runs on the track of the lower flange of the bridge. Two trolleys run crosswise in order to flip and lift large hull sections.
