Eucalyptus oil is a wonderful essential oil which comes from the Eucalyptus tree. It has a strong, pleasing aroma, very refreshing but somewhat medicinal as well. Eucalyptus oil can be used for a variety of purposes in the pharmaceutic and fragrance industry. In Kenya we have 100 000 ha of eucalyptus forest and woods comprising: 15 000 ha in gazetted forests; 35 000 ha on private land owned by large companies; and 50 000 ha on land owned by individual farmers and local authorities.
