Sodium Bifluoride also known as Sodium Hydrogen Difluoride Is mainly used as a precursor to sodium fluoride, millions of tons of which are produced annually. It is used to manufacture tin plates, as a neutralizer in laundry to preserve anatomical/zoological samples, and for glass etching. It is also used in antiseptics, leather bleaches, and cleaners (for stone, brick, ceramics, and masonry). It is also utilized in the synthesis of fluoride glasses at RT.
