The gearbox of a wind turbine is one of the key components in wind power generation equipment, used to transfer the kinetic energy of the rotating wind turbine to the generator, thereby generating electrical energy. It is usually composed of multiple gears, which increase the speed of the wind turbine through precise transmission ratios and convert it into a speed suitable for the operation of the generator. Usually, the speed of the wind turbine is very low and far from the required speed for the generator to generate electricity. It must be achieved through the speed increasing effect of the gearbox gear pair, so the gearbox is also called a speed increasing gearbox.

The variable gear box transmission mechanism is composed of multiple planetary gear trains, usually 3 stages, and the planetary transmission form is NGW type.
