Irvingia gabonensis (African Bush Mango)
Irvingia gabonensis, wild mango, african mango, bush mango, dika or ogbono.
Zedoary grows in tropical and subtropical wet forest regions. The fragrant plant bears yellow flowers with red and green bracts and the underground stem section, a rhizome, is large and tuberous with numerous branches. The leaf shoots of the zedoary are large and can reach 1 meter (3 feet) in height. The edible rhizome of zedoary has a white interior and a fragrance reminiscent of mango; however, its flavour is more similar to ginger, except with a very bitter aftertaste. In Indonesia, it is ground to a powder and added to make white curry pastes, whereas in India, it tends to be used fresh or in pickling. In Thai cuisine it is used raw and cut in thin strips in certain Thai salads. It can also be served cut into thin slices together with other herbs and vegetables with certain types of nam phrik (Thai chilli pastes). It is also used in India to flavor dals and chutneys. *Targeted Countries:* Asian countries African countries *** Please note : we are not interested to supply to local customers in India. *Quantity* : Minimum order quantity 5 MT

Cinnamon is the inner bark of a tropical evergreen tree. A native of India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam the best cinnamon grows along the coastal strip. In ancient Egypt cinnamon was used medicinally and as a flavoring for beverages, It was also used in embalming, where body cavities were filled with spiced preservatives. In the ancient world cinnamon was more precious than gold. This is not too surprising though, as in Egypt the abundance of gold made it a fairly common ornamental metal. Nero, emperor of Rome in the first century AD, burned a years supply of cinnamon on his wifeâ??s funeral pyre â?? an extravagant gesture meant to signify the depth of his loss. Cinnamon was known in medieval Europe, where it was a staple ingredient, along with ginger, in many recipes. Since most meals were prepared in a single cauldron, casseroles containing both meat and fruit were common and cinnamon helped bridge the flavours. When crusaders brought home sugar, it too was added to the pot. Mince pie is a typical combination of this period which still survives. The demand for cinnamon was enough to launch a number of explorers enterprises. The Portuguese invaded India & Sri Lanka immediately after reaching India in 1536. The Sinhalese King paid the Portuguese tributes of 110,000 kilograms of cinnamon annually. The Dutch captured Indian & Sri Lanka in 1636 and established a system of cultivation that exists to this day. In its wild state, trees grow high on stout trunks. Under cultivation, the shoots are continually cropped almost to ground level, resulting in a low bush, dense with thin leafy branches. From these, come the finest quills. Cooking with Cinnamon Cassia and cinnamon have similar uses, but since it is more delicate, cinnamon is used more in dessert dishes. It is commonly used in cakes and other baked goods, milk and rice puddings, chocolate dishes and fruit desserts, particularly apples and pears. It is common in many Middle Eastern and North African dishes, in flavouring lamb tagines or stuffed aubergines. It is used in curries and pilaus and in garam masala. It may be used to spice mulled wines, creams and syrups. The largest importer of Indian cinnamon is Mexico, where it is drunk with coffee and chocolate and brewed as a tea. Our Moringa powder is grown in an all natural landscape with zero man made chemicals used in its production. The plants are cultivated in a lush dynamic forestry landscape lending them a tapestry of natural organic manures and root interactions producing a robust crop. The leaves are harvested at dawn with morning dew still present and taken to an indoor processing facility where they are then handled by a team of experts to wash 4 times to cleanse, then thresh the leaves from the stems, and dry them over a 24 hr process with a recycled pure air system running on a sustainable firewood furnace that feeds from our selective logging on our forest which is continually expanding in size. The moringa is taken down to a 4 - 7 percent moisture and is recognized as the purest moringa product in the country of Uganda. We are currently the only holders of the UNBS q mark standard meeting all requirements for mold, moisture, ash, and other contaminants for human consumption. The leaves once dry can be further crushed and then powdered to a very fine or larger size grind as per buyers specifications. It is then vacuum sealed in 2 - 5 kg food safe bags and boxed in 25kg boxes typically. We also provide customizable packaging solutions for companies seeking ready to use retail product packaging if needed. Buyers of our product have been truly amazed by our product quality as we have ensured that our leaves are treated with the utmost respect when it comes to handling and processing to ensure no sunlight degrades the quality and no contaminants are present when manufactured.
