PEANUTS OR GROUNDNUTS Peanut or groundnut (Arachis hypogaea), is a species in the legume or "bean" family. Peanuts are known by many other local names such as earthnuts, ground nuts, goober peas, monkey nuts, pygmy nuts and pig nuts. Despite its name and appearance, the peanut is not a nut, but rather a legume. India is the second largest producer of groundnuts in the world. Indian groundnuts are available in different varieties: Bold or Runner and Java or Spanish are the two main Groundnut varieties exported from India. They have a rich nutty flavour, sweet taste, crunchy texture and over and above a relatively longer shelf life. Soil conditions in some producing regions are ideally suited for dry, clean and spotless Groundnuts in Shell. Groundnut is the major oil seed crop in India and it plays a major role in bridging the vegetable oil deficit in the country. CLOVES Cloves are the aromatic flower buds of a tree in the family Myrtaceae, Syzygium aromaticum. The plant is indigenous to North Maluku Islands of Indonesia. It is also grown in Zanzibar, Madagascar, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and India. The tree prefers well drained rich soil with sufficient soil moisture throughout the year. High atmospheric temperature (25 to 35 degree C) with heavy sun light, good and well-distributed rainfall (above 150 cm) and high humidity (above 70%) are preferred. USES The use of clove in whole or ground form is mainly for culinary purposes and as a flavouring agent in food industry. Its flavour blends well with both sweet and savory dishes. It is highly valued in medicine as carminative, aromatic and stimulant. The antiseptic and antibiotic properties of clove oil are used in medicine especially in dentistry, oral and pharyngeal treatments. It has wider applications in preparations of toothpaste and mouthwashes, soaps and perfumes. It is also reported to help diabetics in sugar assimilations. Indian cloves are premium quality--hand-picked when still green, plump, whole and rich in volatile oils. Indonesian Cloves Lalpari are reddish-brown with 6%-12% moisture, and 1% admixture and few headless and baby cloves. Madagascar Clean Quality Cloves are brown-reddish with less than 11% moisture and 0.5% admixture and few headless and baby cloves.
Clove stems/stalks are slender stems of the inflorescence axis that show opposite decussate branching. Externally, they are brownish, rough, and irregularly wrinkled longitudinally with short fracture and dry, and have woody texture. We offer cloves stems which have exquisite taste and strong aroma. Collected from the stems of the clove bud flower, clove stems not only have great taste but also contain essential oils which have Medicinal, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic properties and are used in making of fragrances, candles, soap and perfume manufacturing industries. Red Chilli is the dried ripe fruit of the genus Capsicum. Capsicum annuum is an annual sub shrub, the flowers of which are borne singly and fruits usually pendent, which provide red peppers, cayenne, paprika and chillies and sweet pepper (bell pepper) a mild form with large inflated fruits.Capsicum frutescence is a perennial chilly with small sized pods which are highly pungent. It is commonly known as bird chilly and Tabasco. Dry chilly is extensively used as spice in curried dishes. It is also used as an ingredient in curry powder and in seasonings. Bird chilly is used in making hot sauces as pepper sauce and Tabsco sauce. Paprika, Bydagi chilly, Warangal chapatta and similar high colour less pungent varieties are widely used for colour extraction. This colour is highly popular among food and beverage processors for its use as a colourant, since this being a natural plant colour. As a medicine it is used as an counter irritant in Lumbago, Neuralgia, and Rheumatic disorders. Capsicum has a tonic and carminative action. Taken inordinately it may cause gastro-enteritis.
