PRODUCT INFO Puffball mushrooms range from small to very large in size, averaging 10-70 centimeters in diameter, and are round, oblong, to oval in shape. Some species are small, golf-ball sized, while others can grow as large as soccer balls. The white fruiting body can be smooth or bear some small scales, warts, or spines and is firm, airy, and spongy. There is also a protective coating that helps keep debris and dirt from entering the flesh. When sliced, the flesh should be pure white and never have any color. Puffball mushrooms are white when young and transition to a yellow-brown when mature and are rendered inedible when they reach this state. There are little to non-existent stems, and the spores are produced internally in the fruiting body. When young, Puffball mushrooms have a mild, nutty, and earthy flavor. Puffball mushrooms contain some phosphorus, manganese, selenium, and clavacin. USES Puffball mushrooms are best suited for cooked applications such as sauteing, pan-frying, and baking. Referred to as the ¢??breakfast mushroom" Puffball mushrooms pair well with egg dishes and are enhanced when sauteing and browned in simple ingredients such as garlic and butter. They can be sliced thinly and rolled with meat and vegetables, chopped into stir-fries, or grilled with marinades. They can also be cut into slices, battered, and fried, sliced and used as noodles in lasagna or ravioli, used as the dough in pizza, chopped into croquettes, blended into hummus, pureed into gravies, or dried and ground into a powder to use as a flavoring agent. The rotund mushrooms can be substituted for tofu or eggplant in many recipes. The flesh readily absorbs accompanying flavors so oil should be used sparingly. Puffball mushrooms pair well with tomatoes, broccoli, beets, rutabagas, radishes, turnips, parmesan cheese, garlic, poultry, scallops, crab meat, and tuna. They do not store well and should be used immediately after harvest. They can also be frozen between sheets of plastic and stored for extended use. Season Puffball mushrooms are available in the late summer through fall.

Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), also known asthe purple mangosteen, is a tropical evergreen tree with edible fruit native to tropical lands surrounding the Indian Ocean. Its origin is uncertain due to widespread prehistoric cultivation. It grows mainly in Southeast Asia, Southwest India and other tropical areas such as Colombia and Puerto Rico, where the tree has been introduced. In each fruit, the fragrant edible flesh that surrounds each seed is botanically endocarp, i.e., the inner layer of the ovary. The seeds are of similar size and shape to almonds. Mangosteen has been used to treat skin infections and diarrhea. Recent scientific studies suggest that mangosteen possesses strong antioxidant, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-microbial, and antimalarial properties. The durian is the edible fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio. There are 30 recognised Durio species, at least nine of which produce edible fruit. Durio zibethinus, native to Borneo and Sumatra, is the only species available in the international market. Durian lovers say it has a sweet, custardy taste, with the texture of creamy cheesecake. Flavors often attributed to the durian fruits are caramel and vanilla. Some fruits have a slightly bitter note, together with some sweetness. You could call it the most loved and the most hated fruit on earth. Also called the king of fruits, durian has a very powerful smell which puts off many people. But those who can overcome the smell are in for a huge surprise because it said a person who overcomes the smell and eats the fruit will never get bored of eating it over and over again. Rambutan is a medium-sized tropical tree in the family Sapindaceae. The name also refers to the edible fruit produced by this tree. The rambutan is native to Southeast Asia. It is closely related to several other edible tropical fruits including the lychee, longan, pulasan and guinep. The name "rambutan" is derived from the Malay word rambut meaning 'hair' referring to the numerous hairy protuberances of the fruits, together with the noun-building suffix -an. Similarly, in Vietnam, they are called chim chim (meaning 'messy hair). Their taste is similar to lychee, as they belong to the same family. Rambutans have a sweet, fruity flavour with a hint of acidity reminiscent of strawberries and grapes. Additionally, there is a floral, tropical taste to it. Salacca is a genus of about 20 species of palms native to Southeast Asia and the eastern Himalayas. They are dioecious (with the exception of Salak Bali) and pollinated by Curculionidae beetles. They are very short-stemmed palms, with leaves up to 6-8 m long. The leaves have a spiny petiole; in most species, they are pinnate with numerous leaflets, but some species, notably S. magnifica, have undivided leaves. The fruit grows in clusters at the base of the plants, and is edible in many species, with a reddish-brown scaly skin covering a white pulp and one to two large inedible seeds. The Salak (S. zalacca) or snake fruit is the species most widely grown for its fruit; the firm white pulp has a slightly acidic taste. The skin of the snake fruit has a unique texture not unlike that of a snake's skin, rough to the touch in one direction but smooth in the other. MOQ: 5 MT Supplied from Indonesia.
Native to the eastern coast of South America, passion fruit is grown across all tropical and subtropical regions for its sweet, tangy fruit. Passion fruits are round or oval, and range from a width of 1.5 to 3 inches. They can be yellow, red, purple, or green. The fruits have a juicy edible center composed of a large number of seeds. MOQ: 5 MT Supplied from Vietnam, Uganda or Indonesia.
Dragon fruit is a tropical fruit that's low in calories and high in fiber and antioxidants. Some people say it tastes like a cross between a pear and a kiwi. You can slice and eat the fruit as-is, try it with yogurt, or add it to a smoothie or salad. The plant is native to southern Mexico and Central America. Today, it is grown all over the world. It goes by many names, including pitaya, pitahaya, and strawberry pear. The two most common types have bright red skin with green scales that resemble a dragon hence the name. The most widely available variety has white pulp with black seeds, though a less common type with red pulp and black seeds exist as well. Another variety referred to as yellow dragon fruit has yellow skin and white pulp with black seeds. MOQ: 10 MT Supplied from Vietnam or Indonesia.
A cheery is the fruit of many plants of the genus Prunus and is a flesh drupe (stone fruit). Commercial cherries are obtained from cultivars of several species, such as the sweet Prunus avium and the sour Prunus cerasus. The name 'cherry' also refers to the cherry tree and its wood, and is sometimes applied to almonds and visually similar flowering trees in the genus Prunus, as in " Ornamental cherry" or "cherry blossom". Like most temperate-latitude trees, cherry trees require a certain number of chilling hours each year to break dormancy and bloom and produce fruit. The number of chilling hours required depends on the variety. Because of this cold-weather requirement, no member of the genus Prunus can grow in tropical climates. Supplied from Turkiye, North, and South America.
