The piston ring is usually made of wear-resistant and oil resistant materials, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), to ensure its excellent performance even in harsh working environments.

Application-engineered Piston rings are available for all operating conditions. They provide excellent sealing capabilities & piston support, preventing piston-to-cylinder contact. We fabricate these rings in a variety of styles ranging from a conventional segmental straight, angle cut, step cut design, to more complex configurations like two & three piece segmental, grooved outer face and beveled edges & including the twin ring design. Piston & Rider rings are manufactured from various composites of PTFE - Glass fiber, Glass graphite, Glass molybdenum-disulphide, Carbon, Graphite, Ceramic, Bronze & Bronze molybdenum-disulphide for applications in low to high pressure & continuous duty air and gas compressors. These rings are available for cylinder sizes 2" to 34".

Bonded urethane pistons have no joints to leak. But eliminates abrasive fluids between piston and liner. The fluid expanded lip is not damaged by high pressure and fast pump strokes. This fail-safe piston seals off to greater diameter as liner wears. Premium bonded urethane pistons apply in standard environment with the longest service life of more than 500 hours, and piston hub has the longest service life of more than 450 hours. Pistons with replacement rubbers will run in higher-pressure, fast stroking pumps, and is resistant to oil base muds and other additives currently being used. This one piece bonded unit provides the same series of advantages, being impervious to oil and other chemicals.
