Coir fiber is used for making mats, ropes, Geo-textiles etc. Coir is broadly classified into 2 types. 1. White coir fiber -- Coir extracted from Fresh Green coconut husks. Used for making 2-ply yarn, Ropes etc. 2. Brown coir fiber -- Coir extracted from matured Brown coconut husks. Used for making beds. Coir Fiber Quality 1. Coir fiber is sold in various grades based on application and also how much the client is willing to pay for. 2. usage : Industrial raw materials for spring bed, mattresses, sofas, pilows, car seats, carpets, ropes etc. Coconut fibre or coir, is a natural fibre extracted from the outer husk of coconut. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut and used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses. Coconut fiber has a high lignin content and thus a low cellulose content, as a result of which it is resilient, strong and highly durable. The remarkable lightness of the fibers is due to the cavities arising from the dried out sieve cells. The best grade fibers are light in color, gold-yellow (fiber from unripe coconuts) or brown (fiber from ripe coconuts). Other uses of brown coir (made from ripe coconut) are in upholstery padding, sacking and horticulture. White coir, harvested from unripe coconuts, is used for making finer brushes, string, rope and fishing nets.

COCO FIBER is a coarse fiber extracted from the fibrous outer shell of a coconut. The coir fiber is relatively water-proof and is one of few natural fibers resistant to damage by salt water. Coir fiber is used in floormats and doormats, automobile dashboard, brushes, sleeping mattresses, and for use in erosion control on river banks and hillsides as geotextile. Coir Fiber pads are sprayed with rubber latex which bonds the fibers together (rubberized coir) to be used as upholstery padding for the automobile industry in Europe. The material is also used for insulation and packaging. Soil erosion has become one of the most prevalent problems of our society. Although there are various methods for limiting it but the erosion can be successfully kept in check by the use of geotextiles.
