CLAYMINTON 54 Traditional Organoclay (Rheological additive) CLAYMINTON 54 is one traditional organoclay which is modified with fine Bentonite and special chemicals. It is designed for medium to low polarity solvent based system. It is particularly suitable for coatings, inks, adhesives. CLAYMINTON 54performs outstanding thickening, anti-settling property, sag control and storage stability. Advantages and Features CLAYMINTON 54presents excellent thickening and dispersibility with good KU and Brookfield viscosities building. Meanwhile, it also provides significant sag control, pigment suspension with good flow property. It is recommended to long or medium alkyd paint, acrylic paint or other low polarity coatings or inks system. Excellent dispersibility Excellent thickening Excellent anti-settling property Good storage stability Product General Specification Composition Organoclay Color White Density 1.5g/m3 Mesh(76m) 98% Moisture 2%-4% Target Applications Wood coatings General Industrial Coatings Anti-corrosion Coatings PC&Marine Coatings Adhesive Printing Inks Incorporation CLAYMINTON 54 needs a bit stronger shear rate during the production for better dispersibility. Two incorporation procedures will be recommended as follows: 1 Pre-gel addition:It can be made into 8% pregel before using and then add the pregel into the mill base. The detailed procedure is Solvent/Resin CLAYMINTON 54 (8% Pre-gel) Highly dispersing for 5-10 minutes Resin Dispersant Pigment&Filler Grinding or dispersing till desired fineness

Bentonite deposits are normally exploited by quarrying. Extracted bentonite is distinctly solid, with the moisture content of approximately 30%. The material is initially crushed and, if necessary, activated with the addition of soda ash (Na2CO3). Bentonite is dried (air and/or forced drying) to reach a moisture content of approximately 15%. According to the final application, bentonite is either sieved (granular form) or milled (into powder and super fine powder form) or treated with acids to produce acid-activated bentonite (bleaching earths), or treated with organics to produce organoclays. The main constituent, which is the determinant factor in the clay's properties, is the clay mineral montmorillonite. Bentonite is the active protective layer of geosynthetic clay liners. Bentonite has multi-properties including swelling, hydration, water absorption, viscosity, thixotropy, which makes it a multi-application product for diverse industries. Based upon personal relation of the group with some reputed mine owners and manufacturers in backed by their b support, we are able to export wide array of other Natural minerals Like Bentonite, Baryte,Abrasive Garnet, Quartz,Feldspar,Talc, Dolomite,Calcite,China Clay and Fly ash. Bentonite is available in various grades for its diverse applications: Oil well Drilling (Drilling API OCMA Grade) Civil engineering and pilling grade Iron ore palletizing Grade Bentonite Activated Bleaching Earth/Fullers earth Organophilic clay Use as Grouting Material Pigments Inks Paper industry Cat litter grade Electrical Earthting Pharmaceuticals Detergents Other Usages: Water impedance: As a barrier for Wine Clarification, Pond sealing, Wine and Juice clarifying agent. Cements, ceramics plasters: As a plasticizing agent. Insecticides: As a carrier. Insulation: As a binder. Porcelain: As a suspending agent. Sewer pipes: As a lubricant and sealant.
