Trench mesh is used for both footings 2 layers of trench mesh and slab edge thickening one layer trench mesh with sheet mesh over. You should normally allow 65mm minimum to the edges and bottom of the footings using plastic bar chairs or trench mesh supports to keep the mesh in place. Trench mesh is designated as x-L8TM, x-L11TM or x-L12TM. The x is the number of main bars.
