Usage : Planting media as a substitute for soil, or as a mixture for making organic fertilizers etc. Cocopeat is natural fiber made out of coconut husks. The extraction of coconut fiber from husks gives us this byproduct called coco-peat. The fibrous coconut husk is pre washed, machine dried, sieved and made free from sand and other contaminations such as animal and plant residue. Cocopeat is 100% natural multi purpose growing medium. Coco peat for plants is also known as coir. Cocopeat is a very good alternative to traditional peat moss and Rock wool. Its air filled porosity and high water holding capacity makes it, an ideal growing medium for the plant crops. It is 100% organic and eco friendly, free from soil borne pathogen and weed. It has a pH of 5 â?? 7. EC level 1 can be use for animal bedding, vivarium or absorbent.
Coir pith Or Cocopeat- its a spongy material that binds the coconut fiber in the husk, coir pith is finding new applications. It is an excellent soil conditioner and is being extensively used as a soil-less medium for Agri-Horticultural purposes. We are making pure pith 5kg blocks, 70% pith + 30% coir mixing, 50% pith + 50% coir mixing, 70% pith + 30% Coconut husk chips mixing, 70% Chips + 30% pith mixing, 70% pith + 30% chips mixing as per buyer requirements.
Form: Powder (loose packing 20kgs/bag) or block (compressed packing). Compression Ratio: Over 75 Liters / Block. Impurities/sand: 3% Max. Moisture: 15-20% Max. PH: 5.8 to 6.8. Block Size: 30 x 30 x 15 cm. Fiber length: Less than 2cm. Weight : 5kg (+/- 3%). Electric Conductivity (E.C): High EC (Animal Bedding): 3.5 - 5 mS/cm. Low EC (For Plant Growth) < 0.5 mS/cm.
Coconut coir fiber generally has a golden color after cleaning and is hence, often called The Golden Fibe. Mature coir fibers are stronger than most of the other natural fibers such as cotton and flax. The coconut pith is also called peat or coconut dust. It is the material that binds together the coconut fibers in the outer shell of the coconut. Washed pith is a good choice as a growth medium in soil-less conditions for agricultural and horticultural purposes.
