Manufacturing Process Wedge wire screens are made out of triangular wires welded to flat wires to form a panel or ring . Continuous length triangular wires are welded to flat wire panels with special precision die tools in order to achieve the desired opening. The flat wire panels are holded in a die tool where by the triangular wires are moved in a traverse like a typical lathe machine application where by the welding takes place and the movement of the traverse determines the slot opening of the mesh. Several die tolls with diameter range from 15MM to 700MM are developed and maintained in order to make screens with different aperture openings. The screens with smaller slot openings are made initially in cylindrical form and then cut and opened and flattened in order to achieve the flat opening screens.
