Indonesia is the world's top producer of coconuts. In 2021, it was estimated that Indonesia produced around 2.77 million tons of coconut with it's derivative products such as Crude Coconut Oil (CNO), Cooking Oil (RBD CNO), Copra, Coconut Briquette Charcoal, Coconut Fiber, Coconut Peat (Cocopeat / Coco Peat), Desiccated Coconut, Virgin Coconut Oil, and Copra Meal. Coconut Peat (coco peat) is natural fiber made out of coconut husks. The extraction of coconut fiber from husks gives us this byproduct called coco-peat, which is a 100% natural growing medium. It is naturally anti-fungal, making it an excellent choice to start seed but it is also used in rugs, ropes, brushes, and as stuffing. Cocopeat gardening is also used as a soil amendment, potting mix, and in hydroponic production. Our Coconut Peat Product came from the best coconut coir material with strict quality control according to international client standard.
Cocopeat block (coir pith) is the powder from coconut coir that have been pressed and shaped into blocks bar. It is often used as the planting media as an alternative to soil because it contains nutritious elements needed by plants, such as: potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, sodium, and many other minerals. The term "coconut" can refer to the whole coconut palm, the seed, or the fruit, which botanically is a drupe, not a nut. The name comes from the old Portuguese and Spanish word coco, meaning "head" or "skull", after the three indentations on the coconut shell that resemble facial features. They are ubiquitous in coastal tropical regions and are a cultural icon of the tropics. These are fully matured coconuts but while de-husking, the husk is left intact over the "eyes" of the coconut. This is a sensitive area, and by protecting it we can increase the shelf life of the coconut as the area susceptible to decay is protected.
