Coconut fiber (coir fiber) Coconut fiber, obtained from unripe coconut, is a natural fiber extracted from the husk of coconut. The coconut is steeped in hot seawater, and subsequently, the fibers are removed from the shell by combing and crushing, the same process as jute fiber. The individual fiber cells are narrow and hollow with thick walls made of cellulose, and each cell is about 1 mm long and 10â??20 ¼m in diameter, as shown in Fig. 2.6. The raw coconut fibers show length varying from 15 to 35 cm and diameter from 50 to 300m. When they are immature and then become hardened and yellowed because a layer of lignin is deposited on their walls. Coconut fiber shows a good stiffness and is used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes, mattresses, coarse filling material, and upholstery
Coconut fiber mats are a type of rug crafted from coconut fibers, skillfully woven by artisan hands. These mats are made from 100% natural materials, and over time, they naturally decompose, returning nutrients to the soil. Instead of stone or concrete paths that disrupt the natural landscape, envision the beauty of walking through a green park on a pathway adorned with coconut fiber mats. Such a path maintains a natural landscape, is environmentally friendly, safe for children to play, and minimizes the heat absorbed from the sun, keeping the surface temperature pleasant.

Coconut coir fiber generally has a golden color after cleaning and is hence, often called The Golden Fibe. Mature coir fibers are stronger than most of the other natural fibers such as cotton and flax. The coconut pith is also called peat or coconut dust. It is the material that binds together the coconut fibers in the outer shell of the coconut. Washed pith is a good choice as a growth medium in soil-less conditions for agricultural and horticultural purposes.

Coir Mulch is a natural cover from the fiber of coconut. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut and used in products such as soil cover. Coir mulch has a high lignin content and thus a low cellulose content, as a result of which it is resilient, strong and highly durable. The remarkable lightness of the fibers is due to the cavities arising from the dried out sieve cells. The best grade mulch are light in color, gold-yellow (fiber from unripe coconuts) or brown (fiber from ripe coconuts). Our Coir Mulch Product came from the best coconut fiber material with strict quality control according to international client standard.
