Karikadi (Parapenaeopsis Stylifera) The Karikadi is a shrimp variety seen in regions of the Indian Ocean. They can be seen in the waters of Kuwait, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In fact, it has two subspecies and each is found in different zones of the Indian Ocean. Maturity length of the Karikadi is around 9 cm though its maximum length can go up to 14.5 cms. The age of the Karikadi is around 2 years which is pretty early. In coast and depths, the Karikadi is seen at depths of 90 metres. On the other hand in muddy and sandy substrates the fish can be seen at a depth of 50 metres.
