Cng type-2 tanks (a.K.A. 'composite tanks'): are made of steel with a composite wrap around the center portion of the liner. They weigh about 20% less and cost more than type ones. These are good lower weight but not expensive tanks. We do not recommend to install them under vehicles as corrosion can get under the wrap.
