Coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.), is an annual herb that belongs to the umbel family (Apiaceae), and Known locally in Sudan as Kazbra. It displays broad adaptation as a crop around the world, growing well under many different types of soil and weather conditions, even at extreme latitudes and elevations. Coriander has long been cultivated in the Mediterranean region, southern Europe, Asia Minor and the Caucasus. It is found wild in Egypt and the Sudan. In recent years; principal commercial coriander producers included Russia, India, Morocco, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, Guatemala, Mexico, Argentina and Sudan. Coriander seeds Contents: Coriander seed oil is included among the 20 major essential oils in the world market and its commercial value depends on its physical properties, chemical composition, and aroma .The essential-oil content of the dried fruits varies from very low (0.03%) to a maximum report of 2.7% . Linalool is the main volatile compound in seeds, typically constituting more than 50% of the total essential oil. Fatty acids are also important components of coriander seeds; the main fatty acids detected in coriander, in decreasing order, are petroselenic, linoleic, palmitic, and stearic acids.Furthermore, cleavage of the unusual double bond in petroselenic acid leads to the production of lauric acid, to obtain surfactants and edible products, and adipic acid for nylon synthesis. Residues from distillation can be used for livestock feed, and the fatty acids also have potential uses as lubricants. Mint has even been found in egyptian tombs dating back to 1, 000 bc. The egyptians used peppermint to flavor food. Peppermint botanical or latin name is mentha piperita (peppermint). Peppermint arabic name is naana or nana. Its common name is curled mint, or balm mint. Uses of peppermint Peppermint is also a powerfully antiseptic, the two properties making peppermint valuable in the relief of toothache and in the treatment of cavities in the teeth. The bruised fresh leaves of the peppermint will, if applied, relieve local pains and headache, and in rheumatic affections the skin may be painted beneficially with the oil. Oil of peppermint has been recommended in puerperal fevers. For neuralgia, rheumatism and lumbago peppermint used in plasters and rubbed on the temples; it will frequently cure neuralgic headaches. It is inhaled for chest complaints, and nasal catarrh, laryngitis or bronchitis. Peppermint is also used internally as a stimulant or carminative. On account of its anaesthetic effect on the nerve endings of the stomach, peppermint use to prevent sea-sickness. Also aids relief from muscular pains, varicose veins, sunburn and insect bites, lethargy and migraine.
Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). we can reach up to 45 micron. Uses limestone: 1- Portland cement industry: about 76 % that mix with nonmetallic minerals which is chemically treated. 2- Anhydrous sod carbonates: which is important to glass industry, detergence industry, purification industry, by reaction of co2 produce from calcinations with sod chloride and ammonia. 3- Catalyst in iron kilns: that iron have silica and ammonia as impurities which removed by limestone, they found that 410 kg of limestone produce 1 ton of iron. 4- Rocky fiber: by melting limestone in kilns and pumping steam strongly, so fiber formed which use as thermal isolation. 5- Lime industry: limestone is fired to lose co2 with 44 % from its weight leaving cao, that happen at 1000 – 1100 degree, which use in glass, paper building industry. 6- Metal filler: easy to grind, low oil absorption, do not cause machine corrosion isolation of tank and roofs,, painting and ceramic industries. 7- Food industry: the pure one for birds, treatment for sugar. 8- Ornamental stone: and building. 9- paper: In alkaline papermaking, calcium carbonate is used as a paper filler and coating. Both uses require high brightness, high purity, small particle size, and lack of abrasion. 10- coating: used white pigment in paints because it is available at relatively low cost and has high brightness for TiO2 extension, high purity, low abrasivity, and resistance to weathering. 11- plastic and rubber industry: used filler in plastics due to its low cost, low abrasion, low oil absorption, low moisture, high brightness, and easy dispersion with conventional mixing equipment, In plastics they are used to improve mar and impact resistance, surface gloss, weatherability, shrin
Sand particles range in diameter from 0.0625 mm to 2 mm. An individual particle in this range size is termed a sand grain. Sand grains are between gravel (with particles ranging from 2 mm up to 64 mm) and silt (particles smaller than 0.0625 mm down to 0.004 mm). we can reach up to 45 micron milled sand with magnetic separation uses • Beach nourishment: Governments move sand to beaches where tides, storms or deliberate changes to the shoreline erode the original sand. • Brick: Manufacturing plants add sand to a mixture of clay and other materials for manufacturing bricks. • Cob: Coarse sand makes up as much as 75% of cob. • Mortar: Sand is mixed with cement and sometimes lime to be used in masonry construction. • Concrete: Sand is often a principal component of this critical construction material. • Glass: Sand is the principal component in common glass. • Landscaping: Sand makes small hills and slopes (for example, in golf courses). • Glaze, frit, ceramic, instead of quartz • Paint: Mixing sand with paint produces a textured finish for walls and ceilings or non-slip floor surfaces. • Railroads: Train operators use sand to improve the traction of wheels on the rails. • Roads: Sand improves traction (and thus traffic safety) in icy or snowy conditions. • Sand animation: Performance artists draw images in sand. Makers of animated films use the same term to describe their use of sand on frontlit or backlit glass. • Sand casting: Casters moisten or oil molding sand, also known as foundry sand and then shape it into molds into which they pour molten material. Sulfur is one of the most important agricultural and industrial raw materials and is considered a strategic product sulfur is an odourless, tasteless and polyvalent nonmetal which is mostly in the form of yellow crystals and is obtained from sulphide and sulphate. Sulphur occurs naturally in the environment and is the thirteenth most abundant element in the earth¢??s crust. It can be mined in its elemental form, although this method has declined over the last decade to less than 2% of world production. Today most elemental sulphur is obtained as a co-product recovered from oil and gas production in sweetening process. Sulphur is the primary source in the production of sulphuric acid, the world¢??s most widely used chemical. Sulphuric acid is an essential intermediate in many processes in the chemical and manufacturing industries. Sulphuric acid also is used by the fertilizer industry to manufacture primarily phosphates, nitrogen, potassium, and sulphate fertilizers. Sulfur reacts directly with methane to give carbon disulfide, used to manufacture cellophane and rayon. One of the direct uses of sulfur is in vulcanization of rubber, where polysulfide chains crosslink organic polymers. Large quantities of sulfites are used to bleach paper and to preserve dried fruit. Many surfactants and detergents (e.g. sodium lauryl sulfate) are sulfate derivatives. Calcium sulfate, gypsum, is mined on the scale of 100 million tonnes each year for use in Portland cement and fertilizers. Sulphur is increasingly used as a component of fertilizers. Sulfur can be used in agriculture and various industries such as plastics and many synthetic products, paper, paint, etc. The increasing demand from the fertilizer manufacturing sector, coupled with increasing usage of sulfur for vulcanization of rubber are the main factors driving the growth of the global sulfur industry. Moreover, owing to the fall of crude prices, refineries across the globe are engaging in capacity expansion and other brownfield activities, leading to higher demand for sulfur. The demand for sulfur is also anticipated to be driven by the increasing usage of elemental sulfur as a major ingredient in the vulcanization process implemented to manufacture rubber. However, the enactment of stringent environmental regulations restricting the usage of sulfur and the high costs associated with its mining, are the key factors hindering the sulfur market growth. The global market is segmented based on end-user applications, including agrochemicals, chemical processing, metal manufacturing, petroleum refining, and others. In 2016, the agrochemical industry occupied the largest share in terms of sulfur consumption. It is expected that the healthy growth of the phosphate fertilizer market will drive the global sulfur market over the forecast year.
