Linden honey originates from manna or flowers. It is yellow in colour with greenish reflections, with the scent of linden flowers. It crystallizes relatively fast. Lime honey is recommended for overcoming colds, strengthen the body, against insomnia, asthma and bronchitis.
Chestnut honey is a real treasure trove of rare substances needed by the human body. Of all the Slovenian honeys it is the richest with pollen, which is reflected by the extremely bitter taste. It can originate from flowers or manna; that is why it has many shades of brown. It has a beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract, liver and helps with insomnia. Chestnut honey should, under supervision of a physician, also be consumed by some diabetics.
