Product Description Technically, the La Marzocco GS/3 is a commercial machine, ready for use in a coffee shop or kiosk but we are also selling it for the home. With dual stainless steel boilers for simultaneous brewing and steaming, a 118 oz water reservoir, separate stainless steel hot water and steam wands, a multifunction backlit keypad and easy to read digital display, programmable water volumes, adjustable temperature control and more, we figured that this machine was too good to hide from a retail audience. If youâ??re ready to blur the line between â??consumerâ?? and â??professional,â?? or if you think the line never really existed in the first place, then youâ??re ready to take a closer look at the respected and reputable La Marzocco GS/3. This machine has a 13 month warranty. Features & Benefits: Coffee Design To the left of the brew group are two pressure gauges â?? the far left pressure gauge shows the pressure in the brew boiler, and the gauge closer to the brew group shows the pressure in the steam boiler. Above these gauges is the steam wand, and below them is the steam activation lever. To the right of the brew group is the digital display with clock and below the display is the keypad. This is also where you find the hot water dispenser and hot water lever. They keypad has icons, so you can remember which button does which. From left to right, they stand for espresso, double espresso, coffee, double coffee, programming and tea. When in programming mode, the espresso and double espresso buttons stand for a down arrow and an up arrow, respectively. The coffee button is used to access certain menus, the double coffee button has no programming function, and the tea button is used to turn the GS/3 on and off. Brewing The machine is heated to proper brewing temperature when the keypad buttons are backlit. Before brewing, itâ??s a good idea to run some hot water through the portafilter. This warms the portafilter to brewing temperature, so your espresso is brewed at a consistent temperature. Add grounds to the portafilter, insert the portafilter into the group head, and press the button corresponding to your preferred drink â?? espresso, double espresso, coffee, or double coffee. The machine will automatically dispense a set volume of water through the grounds. When brewing, the brew boiler pressure gauge should read about 9 bars.
Product Description Crafted for home baristas with tighter budgets and kitchen space, the ECM Classika II PID is a high performance semi-automatic espresso machine for those who demand quality without the restriction of cost. The result is a machine that utilizes many of the same commercial grade components ECM relies on for their prosumer models but at a more modest price point. Externally, the machine boldly reinforces the fact that no corners were cut with its polished stainless steel housing and custom machined E61 group head. On the top of the machine, the large capacity railed cup tray doubles as a passively heated cup warming surface and can be removed for access to the water reservoir. Removing the tray also allows access to the pump pressure adjustment screw. As you make adjustments, you can monitor your changes can be with the pump pressure gauge mounted on the front of the machine. Beneath the pressure gauge, brew temperature can be monitored and adjusted with the PID temperature controller. The Classika brews with .5 liter stainless steel boiler and a high-performance vibration pump. Like all ECM espresso machines, the internal plumbing avoids using teflon or other plastics in favor copper tubing with brass fittings. The water reservoir holds 3 liters and is fitted with a sensor that shuts off the machine off at low volumes to prevent the boiler from running dry. An advantage of brewing on a PID machine is that you can set the temperature to match your exact parameters. This becomes important when trying to extract specific notes and flavors from certain coffees. The vaunted E61 group head performs a vital function in helping to maintain these temperature conditions thanks to its thermosyphon system. Hot water and steam are dispensed through a shared wand located on the left side of the machine. Whether you dispense steam or hot water is controlled by a steam switch that raises the temperature in the boiler when flipped on.The Classika froths using a commercial style, two-hole steam tip ideal for crafting lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk drinks.Compact and capable, the ECM Classika II PID has the features you want and quality that you can depend on. Dimensions (with portafilter): 9.84" W x 21.85" D x 15.47" H Weight: 40.78lbs 3 Liter Monitored Reservoir The water reservoir holds an ample 3 liters of water and is fitted with a sensor that shuts off the machine at low volume to keep the machine from running dry. Durable Stainless Steel Construction The Classika II PID is housed in polished stainless steel that is both tough as nails and easy on the eyes. ECM wasn't content with simply welding the drip tray onto the machine, it's actually part of the frame for enhanced durability and build quality.
