Bauxite proppant, also known as ceramic proppant, is an engineered material used in hydraulic fracturing (fracking) to enhance the extraction of oil and natural gas from unconventional reservoirs. The most common proppant is sand, but there is growing interest in engineered proppants. Engineered proppants are made from ceramics, typically derived from bauxite, offering advantages such as uniform size and shape, as well as high strength. The ability to strictly control particle size maximizes porosity, thereby maximizing the extraction of natural gas. Sintered bauxite proppants can be widely used in deep wells and high-pressure oil and gas reservoir fracturing treatments. Using high-quality bauxite as the main raw material, it is crushed, finely ground into powder, mixed with various additives, repeatedly kneaded, granulated, polished, and sintered at high temperatures to form the product. The product features high compressive strength, low density, sphericity, good roundness, high smoothness, and strong conductivity. What role does bauxite soil play in making proppant for petroleum fracturing?
We are exporter of Bauxite. Bauxite is a soft, whitish to reddish-brown rock consisting mainly of alumina-bearing hydroxides, oxides of iron, silicon and titanium with impurities of Ca, Mg, Cr, V, P, Ga and other elements. Raw Bauxite is a major source of aluminium. Basic alumina containing minerals of Bauxites are gibbsite Al(OH)3, Boehmite g-AlO(OH) and Diaspore a-AlO(OH) Bauxite is used in a lot of industries like the chemical industry, refractory, abrasive, cement, steel, and petrol industry amongst others. In chemical, bauxite along with alumina is used in the manufacturing of aluminium chemicals. In refractory, it is used as a raw material for making several products.
We can provide upto 100000 MT per month. SGS report is also available The composition of bauxite consists mainly of Aluminum hydroxide minerals, such as gibbsite (Al(OH)3), boehmite (³-AlO(OH)), and diaspore (±-AlO(OH)), along with various impurities such as iron oxides, silica, and titania. The color of bauxite can range from white to greyish, brown, yellowish-brown, or reddish-brown, depending on the presence of impurities.Bauxite is a crucial raw material for the production of aluminum, which is widely used in various industries such as transportation, construction, packaging, electrical appliances, and aerospace. Aluminum is valued for its lightweight, corrosion resistance, high conductivity, and recyclability. Bauxite mining and aluminum production have significant economic impacts in countries with abundant reserves.
Topglo Corporation Group of Companies Are pleased to announce the availability of minimum 300,000 tons of high-quality, 45% grade bauxite from India for regular shipment. Calcined Bauxite: Calcined Bauxite is obtained by calcining (heating) superior grade Bauxite at high temperature (from 850 oC to 1600 oC). This removes moisture thereby increasing the alumina content. Compared to an alumina content of about 57 % to 58 % in raw Bauxite, Calcined Bauxite has an alumina content of 82 % to 86 %. The heating is carried out in rotary kilns. Calcination is done at different temperatures ranging from 850 oC to 1600 oC depending upon the customer’s application. We export Calcined Bauxite for various applications such as refractory bricks, abrasives, steel polishing, etc. We provide consistency in quality and availability of Calcined Bauxite at extremely competitive prices. Applications of Calcined Bauxite: Refractory Grade Calcined Bauxite (CB - I and CB - II Grade) : To make refractory grade, Bauxite is thermally treated at 1600 oC to produce Calcined Bauxite where the Alumina content is mostly above 82%. Brown Fused Alumina, Proppants and Road Surfacing : To make the above grades, Bauxite is thermally treated at 1000 oC - 1200 oC to produce Calcined Bauxite where the Alumina content is anywhere between 80-88% depending on the requirement. Minimum Order Quantity : 1 Containers
Raw Bauxite: Bauxite is a soft, whitish to reddish-brown rock consisting mainly of alumina-bearing hydroxides, oxides of iron, silicon and titanium with impurities of Ca, Mg, Cr, V, P, Ga and other elements. Raw Bauxite is a major source of aluminium. Basic alumina containing minerals of Bauxites are gibbsite Al(OH)3, Boehmite g-AlO(OH) and Diaspore a-AlO(OH). We are a major Raw Bauxite Exporter based in Maharashtra (India) and catering to the diverse demands of several middle and eastern Asian countries. About Raw Bauxite: The processing of Raw Bauxite is done at a number of alumina refineries in the world. Bauxite can be processed at a low-temperature autoclave digestion (145 oC to 155 oC). Raw Bauxite can be used also for sweetening stage and for non-autoclave digestion in agitators (105 oC). About 85% of bauxite mined worldwide is used to produce alumina for refining into Aluminium metal and the balance 15% is processed and value added to make its way to other uses like refractory, chemical, cement, abrasives, etc. Aluminium is possibly the most versatile product with applications in almost every industry. Since Bauxite is the primary source for Aluminium there will always be an ongoing promising demand for the same. Application & Uses of Bauxite: Raw Bauxite is successfully used for metallurgical grade alumina production besides applications in the cement industry, alumina chemical, steel, alum, energy industries, flame-retardants, etc. Bauxite is used in : - Aluminium - Cement - Chemical - Blast Furnaces - Iron/Steel Ladles, etc. Advantages of Artha Bauxite: Artha Mineral Resources has good sources for Gibbsitic Bauxite which requires low digestion temperature (145 oC -155 oC) making it more economical to process. Mines are also in close proximity to all-weather ports which makes it very convenient and cost effective to ship this material.
Features Of Calcined Bauxite Calcination is a process of heating, hence calcined bauxite is obtained by heating the high grade ore of the bauxite. Heating further removes the moisture content from the ore and thus results in the increase of the alumina content. Applications Abrasives Refractories Road surfacing
Calcined bauxite is produced by sintering/calcining with natural bauxite ore of low iron, low alkali at temperatures of 1600 - 1800 degree Celsius in the rotary kiln or round kiln through pre-heationg, calcination, cooling and other processes. During Calcining, it can be removed impurities and improving the content of alumina. Refractory grade bauxite has high refractoriness, good mechanical strength and moderate slag resistance. Therefore calcined bauxite is one of the most important raw materials for the production of shaped and unshaped refractories for the steel industry, foundries, glass and cement plants.
