Chromite is a mineral composed of iron, chromium, and oxygen (FeCr2O4). It is a dark-colored mineral that is commonly found in ultramafic rocks, and it is the main source of the metal chromium. Chromite is highly valued for its high chromium content, as chromium is a critical component in the production of stainless steel and other alloys. It is also used in the production of refractory materials and pigments. Chromite is notable for its high melting point and resistance to corrosion, making it a valuable mineral for a variety of industrial applications. After extracting chromium from mines located in Pakistan and Afghanistan, our dedicated processing team meticulously assesses and grades the chromium ore lumps before delivering them to our esteemed customers. Our product range encompasses multiple grades, including: 1. Metallurgical Grade: With chromium oxide content ranging from 26% to 42% (Cr2O3), our metallurgical grade chromium ore is ideal for industries requiring high-quality raw materials for stainless steel production and alloy manufacturing. 2. Refractory Grade: Our refractory grade chromium ore boasts chromium oxide content between 48% and 54% (Cr2O3) while maintaining silica content at a maximum of 3.5%. This grade is well-suited for applications where high-temperature resistance is critical, such as refractory materials for furnaces and kilns. We take pride in successfully supplying these grades to various markets, including China and Europe, catering to the diverse needs of our clients. With a substantial monthly production capacity of 15,000 tons, Bare Syndicate stands as a dependable source for fulfilling industrial demands. In addition to our expertise in chromium extraction and processing, our extensive experience in logistics and international trade allows us to provide our customers with a comprehensive solution for their supply management needs.

Chromite is a mineral that is an iron chromium oxide. It has a chemical formula of FeCr2O4. It is an oxide mineral belonging to the spinel group. The element magnesium can substitute for iron in variable amounts as it forms a solid solution with magnesiochromite (MgCr2O4). Chromite today is mined particularly to make stainless steel through the production of ferrochrome (FeCr), which is an iron-chromium alloy. Chromite grains are commonly found in large mafic igneous intrusions such as the Bushveld in South Africa and Travancore in India. Chromite is iron-black in color with a metallic luster, a dark brown streak and hardness on the Mohs scale of 5.5.
Chrome Ore The only ore of chromium, the metal used to make stainless steel, nichrome and chrome plating. What is Chrome Ore? Chrome Ore is an oxide mineral composed of chromium, iron and oxygen (FeCr2O4). It is a dark gray to black in color with a metallic to submetallic luster and a high specific gravity. It occurs in basic and ultrabasic igneous rocks and in the metamorphic and sedimentary rocks that are produced when Chrome Ore-bearing rocks are altered by heat or weathering. Chrome Ore is important because it is the only economic ore ofchromium, an essential element for a wide variety of metal, chemical and manufactured products. Many other minerals contain chromium, but none of them are found in deposits that can be economically mined to produce chromium. Properties of Chrome Ore Chrome Ore can be challenging to identify. Several properties must be considered to differentiate it from other metallic ores. Hand specimen identification of Chrome Ore requires a consideration of: color, specific gravity, luster, and a characteristic brown streak. The most important clue to identifying Chrome Ore is its association with ultrabasic igneous rocks and metamorphic rocks such as serpentinite. Physical Properties of Chrome Ore Chrome Ore is sometimes slightly magnetic. This can cause it to be confused with magnetite. Chrome Ore and ilmenite have very similar properties. Careful observations of hardness, streak and specific gravity are required to distinguish these minerals in hand specimens.
