The nutritional value of the proteins contained in the feed is comparable to that of animal proteins. The resulting products retain amino acids, minerals and fiber, which have a beneficial effect on the development and growth of animals and poultry. The content of nutrients in the cake depends on the feedstock, but its approximate composition is as follows: proteins - not less than 32%; fats - 8-15%; minerals - 5-18%; vitamins of group B (riboflavin, thiamine), A, E; pantothenic acid; carotene; a nicotinic acid. An important advantage of sunflower cake is its resistance to mycotoxin contamination.
Refined sunflower oil is perfectly clean oil, which preserves all the nutrients during the production process. This oil can be used in conditions of extremely high cooking temperatures. Margarine and cooking fats are made of refined sunflower oil by hydrogenation.
