Sargassum Muticum is an invasive brown seaweed that has recently found its way to the coast of Ireland. The same species also found in Indonesia. Some sargassum is eaten fresh, others are cooked with coconut milk or a little vinegar or lemon juice. It is smoked dry to preserve it. Sargassum can also be eaten on its own or added to fish and meat dishes. If not thick, it can be added to salads after washing or cooked in water like vegetables. If the sargassum has a strong taste, you can change the water to boil twice. The second way to cook sargassum, such as fusiforme, is to quickly fry it, then simmer it in water with soy sauce and other ingredients for 30 minutes to two hours or longer, depending on the dish. The rest of the world mixes sargassum with oil, salt and green onions and uses it as a filling for dumplings. It is also can be used as animal feed or poultry feed. We present to you the best eucheuma cottonii that produce in Sulawesi and Maluku Island. The edible red seaweed Eucheuma cottonii is widely cultivated throughout most of the tropical seas. Asthma affects over 300 million people worldwide and is related to airway inflammation, smooth muscle hypertrophy, mucous hyperplasia and hyper-secretion, and airway constriction. It was found that Eucheuma cottonii wastes have better thermal stability, higher crude fibre content, lower moisture content and similar density to the raw Eucheuma cottonii, which suggests that these biomass wastes have good potential as renewable filler material. The tropical edible Seaweed (Eucheuma cottonii L.) is rich in nutrients and polyphenolic compounds that may suppress cancer through its antioxidant and antiproliferative properties. The study reports on rat mammary tumor suppression and tissue antioxidant status modulation by E. cottonii ethanol extract (ECE). cottonii is a rich source of antioxidants (Matanjun, 2010), which can significantly prevent tissue damage by stimulating the wound healing process and also possess anti-inflammatory activity.
