Ferro-Manganese Ferro-Manganese is an alloy with high percentage of Manganese, which is made by heating a mixture of the oxides MnO2 and Fe2O3 and coal & coke with high carbon content in a blast furnace or an electric arc furnace-type system. The oxides go through carbothermal reduction in the furnaces that result in producing the Ferro-Manganese. Description:
Electrolytic metal manganese refers to the elemental metal by using an electrolytic cell to electrolyse manganese salt precipitated by acid leaching of manganese ore. It is firm and brittle flakes with irregular shape. It is bright on one side with silver white color but rough on the other with brown color. The purity of electrolytic manganese is very high, containing 99.7% manganese.
Application:
1.For the smelting of copper alloys, a large amount of manganese is required. Also, the composition is easy to be accurately controlled.
2.Electrolytic metal manganese is widely used in manganese copper alloys, manganese aluminum alloys and 200 series stainless steels. Manganese can improve the hardness, strength, toughness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of metal materials.
