"Shibori is one of the oldest techniques of resist dying used and its derives its name from the Japanese word ""Shiboru"" meaning to wring, squeeze & press. The cloth is bound or knotted in different ways to create the desired pattern. The special characteristic of Shibori is a soft or blurry edged pattern with some parts more concentrated in color and some less depending on the resit technique. Traditionally it was done with indigo dyes, but these days its done in a variety of natural colors available. In this limited edition SS19 collection, Taavi uses the stitch and pleat technique to create patterns that combines floral designs with geometry on contemporary silhouettes.

This skirt has a doubled up waistband and doubled up fabric for the skirt for extra stability and hold on the body. It also allows for a little extra modesty and coverage for the bum and hip area. The fit is a body hugging stretchy knit. The material is super soft, stretchy, and very comfortable, so you can look amazing while you feel amazing too.
