A steam distillation process is used to extract myrrh essential oil, which is amber to brown in color and has an earthy scent (3).
Yarrow essential oil is the popularly used essential oil that is extracted from Achillea millefolium using the process of steam distillation from its dried herbs. It belongs to Compositea family. This oil is also known as nosebleed, thousand leaf, milfoil, and common yarrow. The aroma of yara yara oil is spicy yet sweet. Yarrow Essential Oil is dark blue in color and is similar in hue to that of German Chamomile Essential Oil and Blue Tansy Essential Oil due to its chamazulene content. Lavandin essential oil, while similar to Lavender, is not a true lavender.
