ACSR have been widely used in power transmission lines with various voltage levels, because they have such good characteristics as simple structure, convenient installation and maintenance, low cost large transmission capacity. And they are also suitable for laying across rivers valleys and the places where special geographical features exist.
ACSR Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced is used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR offers optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding for desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.
Aluminum alloy 1350-H119 wires, concentrically stranded around a steel core available with Class A, B or C galvanizing; aluminum coated (AZ); or aluminum-clad steel core (AL). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the complete cable with grease. Also available with Non Specular surface finish.
All Aluminum Alloy Conductor is used for primary and secondary overhead transmission and distribution services. This has been designed utilizing a high-strength aluminum alloy to achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio and better sag characteristic. The conductor has a higher resistance to corrosion than ACSR.
Stranded 6201-T81 high strength aluminum conductors, conforming to ASTM specifications B399 are concentric lay-stranded, similar in construction and appearance to 1350 aluminum alloy grade aluminum conductors, and has a greater resistance to abrasion than conductors of 1350 aluminum alloy
Concentric lay stranded conductor consisting of Aluminum Alloy 1350-H19 wires.
AAC conductor is also known as aluminum stranded conductor. It is manufactured from electrolytically refined aluminum, with a minimum purity of 99.7%. AAC is used mainly in urban areas where the spacing is short and the supports are close. All aluminum conductors are made up of one or more strands of aluminum wire depending on the end usage. AAC is also used extensively in coastal regions because it has a high degree of corrosion resistance
AAC Conductors are made out of Hard drawn EC Grade (min 61% IACS) Aluminium wires stranded in successive layers in opposite direction to form the Aluminium stranded AAC Conductor up to 61 wires.
All Aluminium Conductors are manufactured from electrolytically refined aluminium. They have a high level of purity; the minimum accepted level of aluminium is 99.7%. This product is also known as aluminium stranded conductor, as it is constructed of one or more strands of aluminium wire depending on the intended usage. As a consequence of this high level of purity, AAC Conductors are mainly used in areas where spacing is short and supports are close.
Key Benefits :
All aluminium bare conductors are used for aerial distribution lines having relatively short spans, aerial feeders and bus bars of substations.
