Description Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) is a high performance, 100% poly-carboxylate based polymer, also named PCE. Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) is specifically developed as an effective dispersant, fluidifier and high range water reducing agent for concrete and other mineral materials, which is air entraining. It complies with ASTM C 494, Type F specifications. Application (1) As a new generation of environmental friendly concrete admixtures, Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) can be applied in hydraulic, electricity, port, bridge, railway, tunnels and highway. (2) In the production of self-compact precast concrete and conventional concrete, Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) leads to low water/cement ratios, but maintains a normal level of workability. When Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) is applied, the dosage normally ranges from 0.3% to 1.2% of the weight of cementitious material in 1m3 of concrete. In order to optimize the dosage, experiments are required before the adoption of it or changing of the cement type. 2. Recommended dosage: 0.4% of the weight of cementitious material in 1m3 of concrete. When applied in ready-mixed station, it should be diluted into solution with the concentration of 10% and the recommended dosage thereafter is 2% of the weight of cementitious materials. For example, 100kg of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) (50% concentration) can be mixed with 400kg of water to make solution of 10% concentration. 3. Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) can be added into cement paste together with water or after mixing, while the latter approach is preferred. 4. Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) is alkalescent, nontoxic, non-corrosive and environmental friendly. If it gets onto skin or in the eyes, please wash it off with clean water at once. If there is skin allergy, please see a doctor. 5. Do not mix it with naphthalene-based admixtures. If other admixtures, such as set retarder or corrosion-inhibiting admixture, are required simultaneously for some special projects, compatibility tests should be conducted beforehand. 6. The quantity of water must be strictly controlled when Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) is applied, since slump loss of concrete is closely related to it. 7. When applying Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer concrete admixture (50%) in steam curing concrete or other special concrete, abundant experiments are highly recommended to make sure it satisfies the expected requirement. 8. Description Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture, a high range water reducer with no air entraining, is commonly referred to as a superplasticizer, also named Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde Condensate (NSF), SNF, PNS, etc.. Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture is made of naphthalene, sulfonic acid, formaldehyde and alkali through sulphuration, hydrolyzation, condensation and neutralization reaction. Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture contains no chloride. It complies with chemical admixture specifications for concrete: ASTM C 494, Type F; ASTM C 1017. Application 1.Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture is suitable to make autotrophic concrete, steam curing concrete, steel concrete and prestress concrete, all of which are made mainly of portland cement. When concrete added this superplasticizer needs to be steam cured, it requires considerable structural strength. Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture can be added directly or added in after being dissolved into water. It can be added during mixing and after mixing. The afterward approach can achieve better result. 3. The agent can be combined with other externally applied agents if compatibility test is satisfied. 4. When Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture is applied in the form of powder, normal dosage ranges from 0.5% to 1.0% of the weight of cementitious material in 1m3 of concrete, while the suggested rate is 0.75% considering technical and economic factors. Package, Storage & Handling 1. Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture for powder: Woven fabric bag with plastic liner. Net weight: 25kg +/- 0.13 kg. 2. When being handled or stored, special care should be taken to broken package, humidity and moisture to avoid consolidating. If it consolidated, please dry, shatter, then sift it through 0.63mm apertures or make solution before using. 3. Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture should be stored in a dedicated warehouse that is well-ventilated and dry. It remains effective in one year. 4. Since Naphthalene Sulfonate (UNF-5) concrete admixture is packed in woven plastic bags, though the product is nonflammable, cautions should be taken to avoid fire. 25kg/bag, 15 tons loaded in a 20ft container.
