The powerful dispersing agent of the high range water reducing super plasticizer can be used in many ways to obtain dense, high strength durable concrete (M35, M40, M45 M50). The high water reduction properties makes of K CRETE SPR 14 an ideal application in precast concrete where high early strength is of paramount importance. K CRETE SPR 14 is chloride free. Increases workability : K Crete SPR 14 when incorporated in concrete mixes increases the workability without the risk of segregation and bleeding. K CRETE SPR 14 also retains the slump for much longer time which facilitates easy placement. Bentonite is a high swelling clay mineral whose name was derived from the location of the first commercial deposits mined at fort benton, wyoming u. S. A. Mineralogically, bentonite mainly consists of montmorillonite in combination with various mineral impurities such as feldspars, calcite, silica, etc. Montmorillonite belongs to the smectite group of clays which also include similar behaving minerals such as beidellite, saponite and hectorite. Geologically bentonites are mainly of volcanic origin, the majority of commercial deposits were formed by the hydrolysis or metamorphism of volcanic rock or ash and are almostly found in everywhere in world. The structure of montmorillonite is fundamentally a three layer structure with an octahedral aluminium hydroxyl sheet sandwiched between two layers of silicon- oxygen tetrahedra. However, the aluminium atoms are partially replaced by the substitution of either magnesium or iron atoms, thereby creating a charge deficiency within the unit structure. This results in a small negative charge on the basal plane of silica tetrahedra which is balanced by absorption of exchangeable cations between adjacent platelets. In natural montmorillonite, these cations are usually calcium, sodium or magnesium according to the formations of bentonite. Uses SM-P is recommended strongly for use in all ready-mix, precast, and prestress concrete applications where low water-cement ratio, low permeability, high durability, high strength concrete is specified or high slump flowable concrete is required. HCSA binder is a hydraulic binder based on calcium sulphoaluminate, rather than calcium aluminates which are the basis of calcium aluminate cement or calcium silicates which are the basis of portland cement. The difference gives hcsa binder properties particularly suited to formulators of products such as self-leveling or self-smoothing compounds, rapid hardening screeds, tile adhesives, non-shrink grouts, rapid setting and special mortars. Hcsa binder is used in formulated products either as a hydraulic binder by itself or with the addition of calcium sulphates, or in combination with portland cement. The setting time is quicker than that of portland cement, and it also has a rapid strength development. Hcsa binder does not release free lime during hydration thus eliminates the major cause of efflorescence.
