EVT threaded conduit body for rigid conduit or IMC allows access for general inspection, maintenance and wire pulling. EMT is short for Electrical Metallic Tubing. EMT tube, also commonly called thin-wall, is a steel raceway of circular cross section, which is unthreaded, and nominally 10² long. EVT EMT conduit is UL listed with UL file number E476073. EMT electrical is manufactured according to UL 797, CSA C22.2 NO.83.1 and ANSI C80.3, Electrical Metallic Tubing â?? Steel.
EMT Tubing is available in trade sizes 1/2 through 4. The steel conduit is galvanized both inside and outside for corrosion protection. EMT pipe is commonly installed by use of set-screw or compression type connectors and couplings.
