Mainly used in regenerative thermal oxidizer applications Organic compounds can be removed from waste gases by treatment through a regenerative thermal oxidizer (rto). An rto contains a ceramic heat exchanger bed that is utilized for the preheating and cooling of the waste gases before the gases enter and exit the combustion chamber, respectively. Honeycomb monoliths provide a more efficient alternative to other ceramic media, such as saddles or balls, that have conventionally been used in rtos. The raw materials of this ceramic monoliths(also called multi-channel bricks) are stoneware or cordierite or mullite and ceramics. Its shapes can be of rectangular, cylinder and ellipse. For the rectangular multi-channel bricks, the size is 150*150*50~300mm. The channnels are 20*20, 25*25, 35*35, 40*40, 59*59, 100cpsi, 200cpsi, 300cpsi, 400cpsi; the size of cylinder or ellipse multi-channel bricks are 50~150, 50~200mm, channels are:100cpsi, 200cpsi, 300cpsi, 400cpsi.
