Channel bar, also known as C-Beam, are often used where the flat, back side of the web can be mounted to another flat surface for maximum contact area. The shape provides superior structural support, making it an ideal product for frames and braces used for machinery, enclosure, vehicle, building and structural support applications. They are also sometimes welded together back-to-back to form a non-standard I-beam.
