HPMC Industrial Grade Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC) is a cellulose ether in which the hydroxyl group on the cellulose chain has been replaced by methoxy or hydroxypropyl groups. HPMC is used as a thickener, binder, and film former in agrochemicals, coatings, ceramics, adhesives, inks, and a variety of other applications. Aqueous solutions of HPMC undergo reversible gelation when heated, thereby controllably increasing the raw strength of the raw ceramic body. Applications In construction, HPMC is mainly used for mechanized construction of wall masonry, decoration and caulking. In decorative construction, it is used for pasting tiles, marbles, plastic fittings and so on. It has high bonding strength and can reduce the amount of cement.
