POLYDEXTROSE Polydextrose also known as poly-d-glucose is a nondigestible polysaccharide. It is used as a new alternative to encapsulating agents for encapsulation. It is a synthetic, water-soluble polymer that has a low caloric value (approximately 1 kcal/g), and can be a substitution for sugar.
