Scope
The octane number of gasoline (petrol label) is a contract value, which means the antiknock properties of gasoline, it is the most important quality index of gasoline vehicles, it is one of the core content in oil specification analysis. It is determined by comparing with standard fuel in the standard engine test under specified operating conditions. It can conform to the ASTM D 2699, ISO 5164, ASTM D2700 standards, there are two method: Motor method and Research method.
