Dorpmarket Tanpura, Male, 4 Strings, Fiber Trolly (miraj Tambura)
This Tanpura is crafted by our Master String Instrument Maker - Manu ji. He has been doing this for 3 generations. This Tanpura comes with a balanced, rounded, exceptionally full and warm sound and with richness in overtones. It's carefully crafted from a thoroghly dired Indian Tun Wood and the toomba is made from a perfectly shaped dried gourd, thus creating a resonance expected from this superior product. The keynote can be tuned from C to D. The construction of the male Tanpuras is, apart from the size, the same as that of the female ones. With a size of around 145 cm they are larger & more volumnious than the female Tanpuras, this is why their tuning is lower, around C. They are equipped with 4 strings (3 Steel Strings & 1 Bronze) This Tanpura comes with an extra set of strings, mizrabs and a tuning string - you can also order more of these optionally.
