The PT relief valve controls the temperature and pressure of the system within safe parameters. Preventing hot water from being able to reach temperatures of over 90°C and pressure in excess of 8 Bars (116 PSI). On reaching these settings, the valve discharges a sufficient amount of water into the atmosphere so that the temperature and pressure return to within the systems safe operating limits.
