Hydroxyethyl Cellulose
ZONEHIBTM HEC is a natural polymer material cellulose as raw material, which reacts with sodium hydroxide to form basic cellulose colloid, and then the ethylene oxide and other chemicals are added into the reaction to get etherification. By controlling the production parameters, the Hydroxyethyl cellulose is produced.
It is a white or light yellow powder, non-toxic, tasteless, can be quickly dissolved into hot or cool water, insoluble in general organic solvent, with excellent character of thickening, dispersing, emulsifying, adhesion, stabilizing, water retention and film forming. Also can be used as a protective colloid in some products.
Paints & Coatings: HEC can be used in water-based coatings with excellent emulsification, dispersion speed, stability and water retention, which can help paints and coatings achieve better rheological properties at different shear rates, giving your products smooth leveling, good anti-flaking and anti-slip properties.
Daily Chemicals: HEC is an effective film former, binder, thickener, stabilizer and dispersant in shampoo, hair spray, neutralizer, conditioner and cosmetics. Its thickening and protective colloid properties can be used in liquid detergent and solid detergent industries.
Environmentally Friendly Materials: Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is naturally degradable and environmentally friendly. It is safe to use with no irritation to human skin, though it's important to avoid inhalation of dust and direct contact with eyes. Due to its versatility and wide range of applications, HEC holds significant value in both industrial and everyday contexts.
Oil and Gas Exploration: Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is a critical component used as a viscosity enhancer in drilling fluids, playing a vital role in oil and gas exploration.
Pharmaceuticals: Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) is used in pharmaceuticals as an adhesive, film coating, and in controlled release formulations.
Food: HEC plays an important role in the food industry as a thickener and stabilizer for various foods. It is commonly used in sauces, dressings, puddings and baked fillings to achieve the desired viscosity and texture.
Paper: HEC can be used as a glazing agent for paper and cardboard and a protective glue for ink. It has the advantage of not being affected by the size of the paper during printing and can print high-quality images. At the same time, due to its low surface permeability and high gloss, it can also reduce costs.

CAS NO. : 9032-42-2 HS Code : 39123929 Origin : Germany Appearance : White Powder Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose- MHEC is made from highly pure cotton-cellulose by reaction of etherification under alkaline conditions without any organs of animals, fat and other bioactive constituents. MHEC appears to be white powder and is odorless and tasteless. It is featured by hygroscopicity and hardly soluble in hot water, acetone, ethanol and toluene. In cold water MHEC will swell into colloidal solution and its solybility is not influenced by PH value.Similar to methyl cellulose while being added to Hdroxyethyl groups. MHEC is more resistant to saline, easily soluble in water and has higher gel temperature. Applications :Tile Grouts, Tiles Adhesive, White Cement based wall putty, Water based Latex Paint, Printing Ink, Oil Drilling, Dry & Wet Mortar series, Construction & Building Material, Retaining Water & improving constructability, Thickening Agent, Decorative Plaster, Gypsum, Detergent etc.

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) is a non-ionic cellulose ether obtained by a series of chemical processing using natural polymer materials (purified cotton) as a raw material. HPMC is an odorless, non-toxic, odorless white powder that dissolves in cold water to form a clear, viscous solution, with good water retention, thickening, emulsification, film formation, suspension, adsorption, gelation, surface activity and protective colloids. The products are widely used in waterborne coatings, interior and exterior wall putty powder, thermal insulation mortar series and other product systems.
