MoSi2 heating element is a type of resistance heating element composed of high purity Molybdenum Disilicide.When heated toa high temperature in an oxidizing atmosphere,a layer of compact quartz qlass forms on the surface of the element which withstands oxidation.In an oxidizing atmosphere,its maximum temperature canreach1800 and its applicable temperature is 500~1700C. It can be widely used as heating elements in high temperature furnaces for a variety of industries including ceramics, magnets, glass metallurgy, refractory and many others.

W-shape MoSi2 Heating Element Oxygen-resistance under high temperature: in oxidizing atmosphere, a layer of compact quartz protective film is formed on the surface of element owing to the high temperature combustion, which prevent MoSi2 from oxidizing more. When the element temperature is higher than 1700 C, the film becomes melting. It's not suitable for long time use in the temperature range of 400-700C, otherwise, the element will be powdering for the strong oxidation under low temperature.
