The pouring system is composed of a gate cup, a straight gate, a horizontal gate, and an inner gate. It is a channel opened inside the mold to introduce liquid metal into the mold cavity.
The function of the pouring system is to control the speed of metal liquid filling the mold and the time required to fill the mold; Ensure that the metal liquid enters the mold smoothly, avoiding turbulence and erosion of the mold; Prevent slag and other inclusions from entering the mold cavity; During pouring, do not involve gas and try to ensure that the casting cools down in accordance with the principle of sequential solidification.
The pouring system includes:
1. Pouring cup. The metal liquid poured into the ladle, also known as the external gate
2. Straight gate. Connect the outer gate and the transverse gate to introduce molten metal from the outside of the mold into the inside of the mold
3. Horizontal gate. Connect the straight gate and distribute the metal flow from the straight gate.
4. Inner gate. Connect the transverse gate and inject molten metal into the mold cavity.
The function of the pouring cup is to guide the liquid metal poured from the ladle into the straight gate. The gate cup of small castings is mostly funnel-shaped, and the diameter of the upper gate should be more than twice that of the straight gate, and it is generally made directly on the mold during molding.
