1.Always dissolve peptides in distilled (preferably sterile) water first. The concentration should be high enough to allow for addition of buffer after the product is dissolved completely.
2.If necessary, a few drops of dilute acetic acid or ammonium hydroxide can be added to help solublilize the peptide. In those rare cases were solubilization is still not achieved, the solution may be sonicated briefly.
3.Buffer or saline should be added only after the peptide is fully in solution, in order to avoid serious solubility problems.
