What is a butterfly valve?

The concentric butterfly valve is a flow control mechanism that controls the flow medium in the system with a rotary disc. The disc stays in the passage, but it provides very little resistance to the flow due to its thinness. The design of concentric butterfly valves is relatively straightforward. The basic components of a concentric butterfly valve are the body, seal, disc, and stem. The disc is perpendicular to the flow when the valve is closed, and the seat of the valve is closed.
