What is Calcium Carbonate?
Calcium carbonate is a colorless powder that is white and unscented. It is water insoluble to a large extent. Calcium carbonate is commonly known as CaCO3. It works as an antacid, a food coloring, and a fertilizer, among other things.

How to make Calcium carbonate?
Calcium carbonate is made by combining calcium oxide with carbon dioxide. After adding water to make calcium hydroxide, carbon dioxide is pushed through the solution to produce the required calcium carbonate, known as advanced calcium carbonate in the industry.
What are the uses in Ceramics?
Calcium carbonate is an important element in the manufacture of ceramics. Calcium carbonate is a cost-effective form of calcium oxide that is essential as a melting agent at higher degrees. It also enhances the mechanical and chemical strength of the glass body, as well as reducing shrinkage caused by fire.
What are the Applications in others?
Calcium carbonate is commonly used as a calcium supplement, antacid, phosphate binder, or pharmaceutical tablets. It is also seen in baking powder, toothpaste, and wine.
What are the Negative sides?
Calcium carbonate has the potential to induce bad impacts. People may be affected by stomach discomfort, constipation, dry mouth, increased urination, and lack of appetite, fast weight gain, bone discomfort, tiredness, and a lack of energy. If someone faces problems, they should get help as soon as possible.

Chalk is formed by shells of Nanofossils that is a fine micro crystalline material. Other forms of calcite are also of biogenic origin but more compacted than chalk. Marble deposits are limestone changed by crystallization under conditions of extreme heat and pressure. In some cases, is process yields pure marble of exceptional whiteness. Good quality marble and dolomite deposits are available in the state of Rajasthan (India). High quality stones are manually selected at the mines and after its purity tests, these are sent to the processing centre. During the process the stones are washed to remove impurities. These stones are crushed and grinded as per the customers' requirement. The powder is further processed to micronize varying micron size up to 5 microns top cut. After micronizing it is subject to a process of unique surface coating with fatty acids or suitable coupling agents. The coated products become hydrophobic which increase the compatibility with polymers and other organic based Additives. The processing techniques at PEEKAY MINERALS ensures consistent quality, control of top-cut and average particle size and freedom from impurities at pocket friendly costs. On demand at PKM coated Ground Calcium Carbonate is made available. Coating with Stearic acid or Titanates coupling agent is being carried as per choice of end users. Application: Paints & Powder coatings Paper & Boards Printing Inks PP, LLDPE and LDP compounds PVC master batches and compound Features: Free from impurities Less Reactive Good dispersion Unique particle size Improved brightness and opacity Good Mechanical and flow properties
Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC) is synthetic calcium carbonate. It is white ultra-fine crystalline powder having consistent Particle Size Distribution and Excellent dispersibility. Precipitated Calcium Carbonate (PCC): High Purity lime stone is calcined in Lime Kiln to produce quick lime which is slaked and further carbonated to produce PCC slurry, which is filtered and dried to produce pure white PCC Powder. Activated Calcium Carbonate (ACC): Activated Calcium Carbonate is produced by surface coating the Precipitated Calcium Carbonate slurry with Fatty Acids (Stearic Acid) and Titanate Coupling Agent. Filtering and drying of the coated PCC slurry to produce ACC Powder. The particle size, as well as the crystal form, is controlled by temperature, concentration of reactants and time.
