Hematite Powder is a mineral, colored black to steel or silver-gray, brown to reddish brown, or red. It is mined as the main ore of iron. Hematite, is the mineral form of iron(III) oxide (Fe2O3), one of several iron oxides.

5. Properties: insoluble in water, alkaline solution and organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. Natural ferric oxide is insoluble in acid solution, and is easily oxidized to iron oxide (Fe2O3) in the air in a humid state.
