Konjac chips are sliced Konjac yam which dried and usually for basic materials of Konjac powder before applied for some other product in various industries such as, food, healthcare, chemical and many more.
The Konjac plant is native to Indonesia and is a kind of herbaceous perennial plant called â??Amorphophallus Konjacâ??. Konjac potatoes are grown in Southeast Asia, China, Korea and Japan
Glucomannan comprises 40% of the dry weight of the elephant yam, which is originally from Southeast Asia. It has a long history of use in herbal mixtures and traditional foods like tofu, noodles, and konjac jelly.
This polysaccharide makes konjac jelly highly viscous and may be responsible for many of its putative health benefits as used in traditional Chinese medicine, detoxification, tumor-suppression, blood stasis alleviation and phlegm liquefaction. The dietary fiber from the corm of konjac is used as a component of weight loss supplements.
