1.Application
Choke manifold is necessary device to control the well kick successfully and execute the pressure control technology on oil/gas well in the course of drilling,as it is,the device is adopted to execute new drilling-well's technique of balance pressure,which can avoid pollution of oil-layer,improve the speed of drilling and control blowout effectively.
One end of the device connects with the side flange of BOP spool.When BOP closes,it can control the finite pressure from casing by adjusting the choke valve's opening,so balanced drilling can work under minimum pressure-difference.
2.Configuration
The choke manifold consists of choke valves,gate valves,line pipes,fittings,pressure gauges and other components.
3.Working Principles
When the pressure inside the well rises,opening/closing the choke valves(including manual chokes,hydraulic chokes and positive chokes)on the choke manifold can allow the release of the fluid inside the well so as to control casing pressure,which can be directly blown out through the gate valve if the casing pressure is quite high.
4.Pressure Ratings
The kill manifold is available in pressure ratings of 2000psi,3000psi,5000psi,10000psi and 15000psi,and also can be available upon customer request.

The choke valve, a main component of Christmas tree, is design to control production rate of the oil well, with working pressure up to 15000psi. Choke valves can be classified as follows: adjustable choke valves and positive choke valves. By rotating hand wheel to move the stem, the adjustable choke valve is designed to adjust the effective area available for the flow to accomplish control of production rate. The positive choke valve is design to accomplish control of production rate by changing flow beans. Features: The coupling nut used for connecting the bonnet and body allows fast make-up and break-out. Stem tip and bean adaptor are fabricated from special carbide alloys for corrosion and abrasion resistance. �·Indicator lens with scale marks allows the operator to know stemâ??s position and actual orifice area. �·Turn hand wheel counter-clockwise and the valve will open; turn hand wheel clockwise and the valve will close. The choke manifold is a piping and valve arrangement with adjustable throttle valves. The assembly is primarily responsible for controlling flow and pressure in various industrial applications such as onshore and offshore oil well testing and production operations. Features 1. The choke manifold is the necessary device to implement well pressure control technology. It works on controlling the pressure, maintaining pressure balance inside the well and avoiding overflow and blowout; 2. To get too soft shut-in by choke valve pressure release, and to protect well mouth by open flow; 3. The choke line manufactured by our company conforms to the API 16C, NACE MR0175 Standards; 4. Special choke lines can be designed and made according to users' needs. 5. In case of malfunction of one chock valve, it is needed to close the upper and down valves and put the down valve of another chock valve into work; 6. When it needs open flow, it is necessary to open the flow valve and close the inlet valve of the drilling liquid-gas separator; 7. By means of the chocking effect of the check valve, the chock manifold can work on good control, replace the polluted drilling liquid, control the casing pressure and standpipe pressure of good mouth and recover the pressure on the well bottom caused by drilling liquid and curb overflow; 8. Pressure relief function of the check valve can be used to reduce the pressure of a good mouth and realize "soft shut in"; 10.Releasing liquid (gas) largely by a straight flow valve can reduce the casing pressure of a good mouth and protect the well mouth blowout preventer unit.
